age requirement
Be
aged between 18 to 30 years inclusive.

Applicants
must comply with the following conditions:
- be an Australian citizen;
- possess a return air ticket or have
funds to finance the return fare;
- possess and show proof of adequate
means of self support (see below)
validity / timing
Can
visit for up to 12 months. If you intend to stay a
maximum of 90 days in the Netherlands for tourist
purposes only, a Visa is not required.

and show proof of adequate means of self support (A$2000
minimum or A$4,000 minimum if travelling on a single air
ticket) while in the Netherlands in case of insufficient
income from employment.

fees payable
Nil - however, upon
arrival in the Netherlands one should report to the
local police within three days and apply for a temporary
residence permit for which a fee of Dfl.125.00 may be
charged.
general comments
The WHS-participant should register at the
Local Town Hall when staying in the Netherlands for more than 3
months.
For this registration an original Birth Certificate from the
country of origin is needed. This certificate must be
authenticated by the Department of Foreign Affairs (an Apostille
Stamp).
This registration will enable the participant to obtain a Tax
File number, so-called Sofi number at the NetherlandsTax
Office.
Participants should take out or retain medical and
hospitalisation insurance cover during their absence from
Australia.
Please note: you will need to show a police clearance
certificate upon registration with the Foreign Police ("Vreemdelingenpolitie")
in the Netherlands.

Participants must enter the Netherlands within
the validation dates on the visa.
You will have to provide a confirmed itinerary
when you are planning to enter the Netherlands as well as the
place where you will be staying.
